UNICEF supports the Government of Georgia and municipalities in implementing new standards on Early and Preschool Education and Care. In 2017-2018 UNICEF supported development of supplementary methodological resources (guidebooks, curriculum guides, brochures, video clips, posters, etc.) to support capacity building and improve understanding of the national standards among preschool practitioners and managers.
UNICEF seeks to hire one or several individual consultant/s to support development of the electronic and print-ready layouts of two publications.
Overall goal of the consultancy is to develop illustrations and designs (including cover and layout) for two guidebooks developed for preschool practitioners:
Specific tasks throughout the consultancy include:
Deliverable 1: finalized illustrations and graphs for the two guidebooks.
Deliverable 2: Design concept and sample layout pages developed for the two guidebooks.
Deliverable 3: Finalized two guidebooks designed and ready for publication online and for print.

Authentic illustrations (created for this particular assignment), symbols/icons, infographics and graphics.
(1.) Curriculum Guidebook for children age 2 to 5 and mixed age groups (356 pages);
(2.) Guidebook for National Early and Preschool Education Quality Standards (256 pages).
The performance of work will be evaluated based on the following indicators:
The applicant should submit a detailed action plan and financial proposal with payment modalities by the deadline indicated in the ToR.
Structure of the Action Plan
The Action Plan should include but not be limited to the following.
Financial proposal and payment modality
The financial proposal shall specify the fees requested for the tasks described in the current ToR and shall be based on the above list of deliverables. The financial proposal should be indicated in GEL.
The contracted individual(s) will work under the direct supervision of Education Officer (Early Childhood Education) and in close collaboration with the Communication Officer, who will oversee all contract issues, provide feedback as indicated in the tasks above, and assure quality of the final products.
All activities and deliverables will be discussed and planned in consultation with UNICEF. The consultant(s) will receive feedback and guidance to achieve objectives and quality of work.
The consultant(s) will not be provided with any equipment, office space, travel or other services by UNICEF.
Payment will be enacted after submission of finalized deliverables and their acceptance by UNICEF Georgia.
Payment will only be made for work completed and accepted by UNICEF.
