Summary
TI Georgia, the national chapter of the Transparency International anti-corruption global movement, seeks a full-time Senior Researcher to work on the organization’s media programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and producing reports, policy papers and articles on the topics of media issues in Georgia.
Salary range, Net: USD 900 -1100 (will be defined according to the candidate's qualification)

Working hours: 10:00-18:00 (Monday to Friday)
Reports to: Program Manager
Main duties include:
Undertake research and investigate advocacy opportunities in particular relating to media and telecommunications sector, transparency and open data;
Regularly analyze and provide opinions on changes and developments in media, advertising and telecommunications industry, including legal environment;
Explore and initiate new topics and areas of research in media and telecommunication sectors;
Write reports, blogs and other written materials on current issues in Georgian media;
Provide assistance in the organization of events (workshops, meetings, trainings, etc.)
Assist in gathering data and information to produce accurate, on time reporting for donor organizations and supporting narrative etc.
Prepare training materials and conduct trainings for journalists;
Represent the organization on meetings with stakeholders and in media;
Assist other teams of TI Georgia in research and analysis when required
Qualifications:
Masters in political science, public administration, international relations, law, journalism or other relevant fields;
At least two years of relevant work experience;
A strong understanding of the Georgian governance system and its key actors and institutions;
A strong understanding of Georgian media and telecommunications sector;
Strong writing and analytical skills;
Proven ability to conduct research;
Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines;
Ability to work independently as well as in small teams, at times with limited supervision;
Excellent command of spoken and written English;
Understanding of media law and regulations is desirable;
Proven experience of working with government open data resources is desirable. **
