Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated five-year USAID industry-led Skills Development Program in Georgia. The purpose of the anticipated program is to provide support to Georgia to develop industry-relevant human capacity that will contribute to high-value employment opportunities and increased economic competitiveness in Georgia. The program may pilot and expand activities that incentivize private sector engagement in skills development and the transition from education to employment; co-design and co-finance training opportunities demanded by employers with the private sector and/or Government of Georgia; and increase access to training opportunities for priority populations by expanding existing, high-quality programs to Georgians outside of Tbilisi with co-financing from the private sector and/or Government of Georgia. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage, implement, and oversee all project activities
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of all program deliverables
- Lead all project field staff and operations
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in education, business, economics, other social sciences, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant senior-level professional experience required
- A minimum of five years of experience leading and managing complex development programs and multidisciplinary teams, preferably in Eastern Europe, for successful private sector and education sector engagement in workforce development or job creation
- Proven knowledge and experience in designing and implementing skills development programs and/or job training programs
- Demonstrated experience building public-private partnerships
- Extensive project management and leadership experience, including human resources, procurement, subcontracts, accounting and finance, monitoring, evaluating, and learning, documenting project performance, and evaluating subcontractor and grantee activities
- Prior experience with USAID operating procedures, regulations, and reporting requirements preferred
- Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with government representatives, private sector leaders, and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in English required
