Niger: Senior Technical Advisor, Organizational Development

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor, Organizational Development for an anticipated USAID-funded 5-year integrated health service delivery activity in Niger and Burkina Faso. The objective of the activity will be to improve the access and quality of high impact maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health, family planning, and nutrition services at the community, primary health facility, and referral facility level.

Position contingent upon project award and funding.

The Senior Technical Advisor, Organizational Development will represent MSH on the implementing consortium and provide onsite technical assistance on a daily basis to the local Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) and Social Marketing (SM) entity and women health care workers groups for the duration of the project. The project will specifically work to improve the capacity of local SBCC and SM entities in the following areas: Governance; Organizational Planning and Resource Mobilization; Financial Management and Administration; Grants Management; Human Resources; Project Management; Advocacy; Communications; Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E); Information Systems (IS). The Senior Technical Advisor will also coordinate the short- term technical assistance missions required to introduce and implement MSH’s capacity assessment and leadership and organizational development tools and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in implementing technical and organizational capacity building programs in developing or middle income countries, with a demonstrated track record of establishing high-trust partnerships with local institutions, and successfully facilitating the development of local solutions and transferring capacity to others to ensure sustainability.
2. A minimum of a Master’s Degree in health or social sciences, or a related advanced degree relevant to the field of public health or business or public administration.
3. Professional proficiency in French is required.
