The HR Unit is understaffed since the transfer of the HR Specialist on June 2016. This position is still vacant. With the approval of the Diffa Zonal Office subsequent to the 2017 PBR results, in response to the humanitarian situation affecting the Nigeria+, about 24 positions were established in addition to existing vacant positions. The Niger CO needs support to strengthen its HR capacity to respond to the workload and expedite recruitment processes and related administrative tasks.

How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the HR Specialist, manage recruitment process in the Niger country office in accordance with the HR recruitment plan, consistent with the Country Programme Management Plan.
This will involve:
Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks
•Support the office's administrative and technical needs for professional officers, general service and temporary staff by implementing and administering effective and speedy recruitment procedures. Ensure organizational targets (geographic distribution, gender, etc.) are met while not compromising on the recruitment and retention of national staff of the highest caliber. Team with supervisors in the recruitment process to ensure integrity and merit in all selection procedures while supporting the needs of managers and goals of diversity. Promote equity, transparency and consistency in the selection and placement of staff.
•Ensure appropriate and timely actions for on boarding of new staff
•Ensures that the Talent Group is functional, recommended candidate but not hire are put into the group talent for future placement depending on the need
